Collection Series 3

Tokai TEA-05S flame maple (rare green)
S.Yairi built in tuner classic maker
Ibanez 12 string brunt of the litter but sounds great
View all 5 photos...
The accoustic side of my collection only consists of 4 guitars but I have the range covered, I had to sell my Gibson J200 not too long ago to fund my new Job/Hobby of photography and allthough i do regret it a bit I replaced it with the S.Yairi electro accoustic and it is truely wonderfull too.

So left to Right - Tokai TEA-05S - S.Yairi - Ibanez 12 string - Yamaha BEX4 Bass

All but the Ibanez can be plugged up with an amplifier. So OK then next collection tomorrow will be the 'rubbish' side and consist of the broken, unused and unwanted bits i keep around the house.
Please enjoy

The Collection Series 2

Tokai Stratocaster Amazing guitars the older ones
Squier Jazz before Japan had the licence to make Fender
Carlos Santana Knebworth Park 1975 I was there saw led zep too.
View all 6 photos...
Welcome to part 2 of the collection and today I set up all the 'Sunburst' effect guitars that I have (minus the LP Standard of cause) I usually collect a certain type or make of guitar for its history etc but most importantly if I play it and it says "take me home" then it doesn't matter what colour, make, model or condition it is in.

Left to Right -

Tokai 1978 Stratocaster - Squier 1980 Jazz Bass - Yamaha 1977 SG2000 - Fender USA 1990 custom Precision Bass - Fender USA 1996 Telecaster

I love each and every one of my guitars but some of them are in need of some TLC I just don't get that much time to clean them all and put new strings every 3 months etcetcetc.

Tomorrow i will post my Accoustic collection of guitars, and finally for the guitars I will post the 'rubbish' selection of my guitars, the forgotten, unplayed, unloved peices of wood that clutter up my house yet i cannot throw them out. ENJOY PLEASE.

e7 set. Fri 22-Oct-2004 00:39

The Collection series 1

1992 LP Junior special rare dble cutaway twin PU model
SG Standard simple as that great sound ACDC etc
No need for words here 1999 50's reissue LP Standard
View all 6 photos...
OK I decided that its high time i took pics of my guitar and instrument collection and generally life around the studio (mainly for stevey boy) so I hope you others can appreciate and get some enjoyment from them too.

left to right-

Gibson LP Junior special - Gibson SG standard - Gibson LP standard - Gibson SG special - Gibson LP special

To answer the questions below. Yes i do play and write songs, I run a small humble studio from my house in Japan I am originally a Bass player and have worked with Lee'scratch'Perry, Dennis Brown, Greggory Issacs to name a few. I like to play the guitar when i write songs. When I was younger i really wanted an electric guitar but my mother could never afford it being a single parent so now im all big and grown up I have a few guitars and will never sell them I collect them and i shall be photographing them all over the next week or so including drum set mixers recorders keyboards etc etc. I started with the Gibsons because i think they are just beautiful. Music and Photography keeps my mind normal if i had neither then you could find me in ward 10 at the local looney bin eating socks and singing we wish you a merry eggcup between 7.30am and 3pm stopping just in time for dinner and a visit from the very reverand Father Ted and his assistant Dougal and Father Jack.

Hope that helped please enjoy as much as i enjoy collecting

Now thats one heck of a collection... Wed 20-Oct-2004 17:04
